Social Media in Education

Social Media in Education Social Media plays an important role into today’s classroom. Many students have grown up using social media in their day to day lives. Below are three social media resources that could be used to help educators in the classroom. World War II colourized (Facebook):    This resource on Facebook is useful because of its updating of photos of historical significance. World War II colourized is a community of photoshop editors who colorize black and white photographs from World War II. This resource is useful because it allows the user to see World War II events in full color. Because pictures are so important in history, a photo that has been colorized bridges the time gaps and makes people and places in history seem more alive and real. I have used this resource often throughout my classes. Students are engaged and intrigued by the colorized photos which generates more conversation about the topic.   Link https://www.facebook.com/worldwarinc...
